In 2008 I thought I noticed that most of the serious cheering of Obama at his campaign rallies were women, especially women under 30. Now we see from a liberal polling group that over 75% of that demographic voted for Obama. These women don't all worry about the same economic problems since many of them are single mothers and students and many more are on or near Social Security. Their money from the government doesn't come out of the same pots so they could be won over by an astute GOP candidate.

You know of any?

This group, or any other, will still make their choice based on who most closely aligns with most of their fundamental beliefs. So even if such a candidate that might appeal to enough of the fundamental beliefs of most democrats or liberals could be found within the GOP... the rest of the party wouldn't let them get nominated.

Typical conservative thinking. Insulting in its simplisticness. Women vote a particular way based on a lot more than just their pocketbook. A woman who pulled the trigger for Obama in '08 is NOT going to vote for any of the Republican frontrunners unless she managed to get married to a hedge fund manager in the last couple of years. Married being the operative word. Even then I don't know. Many left leaning women marry card carrying right wing conservatives and agree to disagree and do not change their politics. FAIL.

Some idiots believe that by repeating the same mistakes, such as alienating unmarried women, all people of color, all poor, etc..., that it will somehow bring about a different result, as in those same people now voting for them.

Ah, the old Virginny speaks. Not much evidence of it in Northern Virginia anymore, thankfully. Were you one of those GMU kids who did a skit in blackface in the 90's?

You really haven't figured out that parties have to accept individuals who get nominated, have you? The party hasn't "picked" anybody yet but will back the one that wins the nomination.
