Down the stretch, Perry plans a big push in Iowa - latimes.com

Reporting from Des Moines—

Struggling to ignite his sputtering presidential campaign, Rick Perry is aggressively courting Iowa's socially conservative voters over the airwaves and, in a 44-city, 14-day bus trip beginning Wednesday, hopes to make the pitch personal.

I get the feeling the only big push he has left in him will result in a cold wet splash on his backside.

How is it that politicians never know when to say when?

Give it up Perry. You are done.

Not necessarily ... now that the word is out about Gingrich (RINO), where else are the Iowa caucaus goers going to turn? The only thing wrong with Perry is that he's dumber than an onion bulb, but when it come to intelligence... the Republicans aren't too choosy. I hope he wins. He would be the aboslute easiest candidate to beat, even easier than Newt... and that's saying something.

Well it looks like Gingrich is beginning to sputter & slip in the polls... Romney remains steady, Paul continues to gain... I could see Perry as a anybody-but-Romney-or-Paul vote. I doubt it, but it's possible.

Almost doubled --- look at my other thread on Interesting Iowa Trending Polling Data. He better head straight to South Carolina after the 14 days are up.

I believe a good majority of Iowa caucus voters have watched a majority of the debates. The debates sank Perry and most voters will not forget. I listen to conservative talk radio here in Iowa A LOT, and there is zero buzz for Perry by people who are paying attention (and will be the most likely to caucus) . He is not even mentioned in the conversations any longer when people are debating/projecting results for Jan 3. Yes, he may be picking up some polling numbers from the less actively engaged as he is running a TON of slick commercials on TV, but IMO his goose is cooked.

Additionally, and while probably not fair, he also reminds people too much of GW Bush . i.e…we’ve been there, done that.

Correction, he's going to have his illegal friends push his rickshaw for him and give them in-state tuition as a reward.
