The economy was nowhere near as bad at the end of Bushes' first term as it is now. I think most Americans would love to return to an economy like that now.

I'm not all that big on Mormans but that would not prevent me from voting for Romney if I thought he could do a better job in the white house. Any body runninng on centrist, common sense views would get my vote.
Problem with Obama, is he speaks like a Centrist but is in reality anything but!

Let me see if I've got right wingers logic figured out....Clinton's super strong economy and budget surplus was a delayed reaction to the things Reagan did that were so wonderful, but there is no "delayed action" and it's not Bushy boi's fault that the economy is in the crapper when a Dem is Potus.....wow...I see why Glenn Beck needs chalk and crayons with this bunch.

Yep That hoax worked in 2008 but won't work anymore.

As far as I'm concerned Clinton can take responsability of the success of the 90's just like Bush and Obama can take responsibility for the 2000s.

I wanted to believe these people are not really still that ignorant, but I am starting to think many are. Some recent studies on the issue indicate that there is a bias for those that use terms like 'flip flopping Mormon' and compare Romney to Obama when in reality there isn't a lot of a comparison, their issues with him may be based on anti-Mormonism. At least, you are honest about your prejudice and ignorance.

Most of the housing crisis was caused by Clinton's policies and the housing crisis is most of what has caused this economic meltdown..yes, you would be right to say Clinton caused a lot of it. However, you were speaking of the eonomy being so bad when Bush ran for his second term and considering 9/11 and the ramifications, it wasn't nearly as bad as it is right now. Bush took action to at least keep it from bottoming out. Unemployment was nowhere near what is it right now and even when it started to rise, he took action that brought it back down. That is the key difference, Obama has done absolutely nothing about anything and what he has done...hasn't worked.

"Obama has done absolutely nothing about anything and what he has done" Because he doesn't know what to do? He thinks we can spend our way out of this?
