Americans would much rather have "hope and change" than "destruction and amnesia" which would happen if the Republicans get back in.
We must NOT forget why the Republicans were booted out in 2008..... They have NOT changed, in fact they are worse and don't even have a coherent party. The mid terms have shown, without a doubt, that trusting the "hot air" of the GOP will lead to complete disaster once again. obama has tried to fix Bush's huge mistakes but the tactics of the Right wing loons has now led to the downgrading of America and their filibustering has stopped many a good bill from being enacted and "watered down" alternatives being passed............. Disgusting!
Lol, where's the hope, where's the change? I take that back, the employment picture changed as did the debt picture. And of course the unions own two car companies. Yeah!
Meh, no President has been re elected, in modern times, with unemployment over 8%.
Reagan was reelected with unemployment at 7.2%, but that number was down 3.6% from the peak of 10.8%. At the same time GDP was increasing at 9.3%, inflation was down 10 points, the misery index had been cut in half and the inflation adjusted price of a gallon of gas was back down to $2.60 from $4.10 under Carter. If Obama wins a second term with these sh*tty numbers, he'll have done something no one has done since FDR.
In addition to that, no sitting US president has ever won a second term or third term (Truman was eligible to run for a third term) with a Gallup Presidential Job Approval Rating below 53%. In 2004, Bush squeaked by with a 53% approval rating. Obama will need to pick-up 13 points to stand a chance of winning again. Since he hasn't had an approval rating that high since November of 2009, I doubt it will be anywhere near that number on election day.
