National Review's Victor Davis Hanson has written the dumbest column of the year in defense of Herman Cain, marching out every possible cliché of right-wing victimhood, infantile racial identity politics, and gender stereotypes.
Beginning from the premise that Republicans suffer from sex scandals but Democrats don't, Hanson mentions one Democrat who was impeached (Bill Clinton), another who resigned in disgrace (Eliot Spitzer), and another who is facing criminal charges over allegedly spending campaign funds to help hide his mistress (John Edwards).
Polls are showing that Cain's support is slipping with Women Voters. I think this is more attributable to the conservative's defense of Cain than the alleged acts them self. Unfortunately African American politicians on the national stage have to pass a black test. IMO There is a thin line between the terms "authentic" and stereotypical as used by the author of the National Review article.
Well, Obama is half white, so wouldn't that be like saying Michael Jordan is more authentically black than Mariah Carey? Captain obvious to the rescue.
Black, white, brown, or chartreuse, Obama is much better than Cain by every measure that counts.
Obama at best was nothing more than some community ACORN activist before being elected while Cain had a successful job in IT and then running a very large business.
It's time to get rid of unqualified career polticians who couldn't even make it as dog catcher and get someone with some ability.
Cain has proven business ability.
