Did you even read this part:

Mutual Assured Destruction: This is one of the reasons that nuclear weapons were never launched during the Cold War. While Iran may not be fond of Israel or the United States they know that if they acquired a nuclear warhead and attempted to launch it at Israel, their entire nation would be wiped off the map in a matter of minutes. To make matters worse for Iran, the destruction wouldn’t be mutual. Their missiles could not reach the United States. And Israel would have them outgunned. It would be a case of national suicide and they know it.

•Suicide terrorism is a direct response to the occupation and bombing of people’s lands by a much more powerful nation that they are not technologically capable of fighting with conventional warfare. For more information on this, please read the book Dying to Win by Robert Pape, the world’s foremost expert on suicide terrorism.

Or did you just start posting the second you saw the name "Ron Paul" and "foreign policy"????

Well, it seems to be working for them....since we are the only ones being threatened, the only ones who have lost over 5000 troops, over 2000 citizens in terrorists attacks on the same day.

Wow, yes we are doing it all right! Look at the end results!

Poor Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Brazil... they are so naive!
If you think the United States is the only country with a global presence then you are mistaken big time. All of those countries you mention are 4th rate powers - barely a regional power. My local police department has more firepower and force projection than Sweden.

Some other countries with a world presence: Netherlands (in the Caribbean), UK (everywhere), France (the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, the Pacific), CHINA (Africa, Latin America), IRAN (Lebanon, Venezuela), Denmark (Greenland).

KickAssArmyChick, we are not the only ones being threatened. UK has had bombs in their trains, France has not been left alone, Denmark they went after when that comic drawing was seen by Muslims, China...does anyone REALLY want to F with China? and Iran...they are being threatened by the US.

We don't want to be like Switzerland in the sense that we have no firepower.

And that is where WIHS2006 misses the dot. We bring our troops back here, our military and national defense would be even STRONGER, not weaker.

And my question to WIHS2006, are you stating that the Netherlands has military bases in the Caribbean and that Iran has military bases in Lebanon and Venezuala and that China has military bases in Africa and Latin America?

Are you also aware that the US has military bases in 900 places in 130 countries?!!?!?!?! Is it really an apt comparison between the US 900 bases and the Netherlands having a presence in the Caribbean? Are you really going to go there?

Here's some great reading material for those who want to know about some of our bases....oh, and that would be INCLUDING in the Caribbean, which are part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands which is kind of like Puerto Rico being a commonwealth of the US which would not be comparable to us force feeding our way of life to the Middle Eastern countries.

Let's say they got a nuke. Ok, then what? You think they would last 30 seconds on the globe if they fired one off?

That nuke sure as hell wouldn't reach our shores.

So, again, how is Iran a country we "need to attack" if they have not obtained one and not threatened us with one?

LOL ... Right, but they are just about to get one right? So we have to attack them before they do! ... Right? Isn't that how you/they/y'all are selling it?

So they LIED about wmd's in Iraq, and now they are lying about Iran maybe having one in the near future? And you think that is a better excuse to attack them? Really?

Hard to believe...how dangerously ignorant the Paul people are....isn't it?

That's your rebuttal? That's it? You say only that people who don't think like you are ignorant but offer up NOTHING more? No links? No evidence? No proof of anything to support what you are saying?

While those of us who have been talking about the failed foreign policy have offered up a good 50-60 years of proof...all you can say is, "they's ingant"?

You're nothing more than a troll. That's it. You don't offer up a thing, you just troll.
