How Rick Santorum Ripped Off American Veterans | Veterans Today

As a US senator, Santorum engineered a controversial land deal that robbed the military’s top veterans’ home of tens of millions of dollars and worsened the deteriorating conditions at the facility.

A good example of the kind of policies a Santorum presidency would persue. This is what scares me about these Christian theocracy types.

This should be exhibit #999,999,999-z on why we need to diligently maintain a separation between Church and State.

Ron Paul has already called him out on a lot of right to work issues already. Santorum is a product of MSM. He's not polling well and should drop out soon. He shouldn't have beeen in the race this late in the game anyway.

And yet Santorium gives speeches on how he knew a lot
of Vietnam Veterans, didn't like how the Democrats treated
them, and how he cares soooo much for our Veterans.

I can see right off the bat one obvious lie in the story.

The image used to show "criminal deglect", is actually damage caused by an earthquake

Sherman Building at Soldiers' Home damaged in earthquake - Greater Greater Washington

Last Tuesday's earthquake only added to the Home's financial challenges. According to Carrie Barton, an historic preservation specialist with EHT Traceries, Inc., a number of carved stone pieces from the Sherman Building's pinnacles and crenellated parapets fell off, either inward through ceilings or outward to the ground. Stone masons were marking and cataloging the pieces for eventual repair.

It's not just Santorum, but the vast major of the GOP politicians don't give a damn about the troops except to be disposable pawns for their warmongering.

Exclamation hmm...

In 2003 veterans living at the Home filed a class-action suit against the Home and its director, Timothy Cox, alleging shoddy health care and less access to that care.
As a result of cutbacks and declining quality in care, the suit claimed, the suicide rate at the Home spiked from 59 in 2000 to 131 in 2003.
Interesting.

Interesting.
MSM never reports on that statistic.

We have a separation between church and state.

Let me guess - christian theocracy types scare you, but radical progressives don't?
