I can't quite imagine that working though.
No, not awesome. The real power of Ron Paul is what he would do in the way of SCOTUS appointees, the ending of previous POTUSs unConstitutional power grabs via executive orders, and the veto pen, as well as being the only potential commander-in-chief not to march the US off to war for global bank profiteering.

Here is what Santorum says about Libertarians. Hasn't he also said that he was Tea Party before Tea Party became popular?

» Rick Santorum shortens libertarians - Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion

He is such an idiot.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said, “There is nothing wrong with describing Conservatism as protecting the Constitution, protecting all things that limit government. Government is the enemy of liberty. Government should be very restrained … To be a conservative means to conserve the good parts of American and to conserve our Constitution.”

I think Mitt Romney respects Ron Paul and Paul could be a good influence. I would leave it up to Paul to decide if a VP position would be a worthwhile endeavor for getting our house in order.

A nomination of Paul would be nothing more than a prototypically "political" move by Romney to gain more votes. Given Romney's present and past behavior, there's no evidence he has ever operated out of a sense of conviction (other than what puts dollars in his own pocket).

Can't disagree with you, but we both know they'd never let that happen - don't we?
