Stupid commercial.

Real demagoguery ... appealing to xenophobia and racism.

As someone who has lived in Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo, I must say that race baiting is a very effective tactic in Michigan. For some reason, politicians with Dutch surnames seem to be more prone to this.

When I lived in Kalamazoo, I knew many a person from Benton Harbor/St. Joes who truly believed Malcom X ruined their city.

Racism dies hard in MI.

The ad is distasteful but do you all not agree that borrowing so much money from China is a problem?

I am curious how it is racist too. How was it mocking Asian people?

He could have found a better way to portray his message that we can't keep borrowing 43 cents of every dollar the federal government spends...but where is the racism?!?!

Was President Obama race baiting when he said:

"The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents – #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic."

Obama frequently on the 2008 campaign trail accused Bush of having a "China Credit Card." Do you think Obama is a racist?

Only if he had said in a mock-broken-Engerish accent like the chick in this ad.

I am friends with a Chinese girl, as in a citizen of China. She talks similar. So do the Chinese-Americans at the restaurants I go to. So if the United Kingdom owned more of our debt and Pete had a commercial with the UK instead of China and the girl had an English accent...that would be bigoted?
