So just to be clear, you are absolutely fine with Romney getting a hundred million dollars of super PAC money, but you strenuously object to Obama availing himself of that same source of funding? Were you under the impression that Citizens United only applied to Republicans?

Although I understand the reasoning behind President Obama's decision, I am a little disappointed that he felt it necessary to go this route.
Oh, well. Maybe this is one case where the ends justifies the means. With President Obama's re-election, we can continue to work at getting Citizens United overturned. The future make up of the Supreme Court will have a lot to do with that and we have to have a Democratic president filling seats that are likely to come open in the next couple of years for that to happen.
Progressives don't care if they have to run the campaign fueled on puppy blood and bald eagle feathers, they want their goon to win no matter what and if that means flip flopping yet again they'll simply look the other way and smile.
The President had taken the high road, the GOP the low road ... for ever so long. "leveling the playing field" is the appropriate thing to do. Given the rhetoric of the extremists in the GOP. The President hasn't flip flopped. He's playing the game by the rules others have dictated. Good for him.

He still wants citizens united overturned. But is he supposed to operate under a different set of rules in the meantime? I don't get what the flip flop is.

Personally, I won't give a dime to any of them (except Colbert's of course!). I think it's horrible that our country has come to this.
