New PPP poll out this morning is very bad news for Romney from his 'home-state'. Just one week ago, recent polls showed Romney leading by 15 points. But this last week has been a bonafide winning week for Santorum, both literally and also in terms of the huge media attention and rush of money into his campaign.

And now this:

PPP Poll Michigan GOP Primary:
Santorum 39%
Romney 24%
Paul 12%
Gingrich 11%

Past polls also show Gingrich being competitive in the state. This doesn't surprise me, other midwestern states like Minnesota and Missouri Romney lost big.

Wow. I'm pretty surprised (and disturbed that people take Frothy seriously) by this.

Michigan was supposed to be pretty much "automatic" for Romney.

Lightbulb Ya know...

I was kinda hoping for the Newt to face Obama in November. But now I'm conflicted.

Santo Rum might be even more fun on the campaign trail. The pro-life radical whose wife had an abortion.

It's PPP, until I see something similar from some of the more reputable pollsters, I am not concerned. We all know who runs PPP and who pays for their absurd polling.

? PPP is one of the most accurate pollsters around and have been the most accurate that i've seen during the primary season. With Newt tanking, it looks like Santorum is now the new "anyone but Romney"

I think it's pretty obvious that Santorum's the "conservative alternative." The next debate is too far off for Gingrich to get some momentum to combat this.

Sure they are, you go right ahead with that agenda.
