Ever since Santorum has gained the spotlight, he has garnered a lot of attention for his theocratic views about the society and the country and has been besting himself every passing day with one crazyass stuff after the other.

I am attempting to compile every one of them into one master reference thread. This does not cover his fiscal positions, but just his social ones. Of course, some of these are inferred positions, when instead of saying something outright nasty, he gives it sugarcoated.

Here we go:

Privacy

Americans Don't Have a Right to Privacy

Senator Rick Santorum on Courts on National Review Online
USATODAY.com - Excerpt from Santorum interview

Quote:
SANTORUM: We have laws in states, like the one at the Supreme Court right now, that has sodomy laws and they were there for a purpose. Because, again, I would argue, they undermine the basic tenets of our society and the family. And if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. Does that undermine the fabric of our society? I would argue yes, it does. It all comes from, I would argue, this right to privacy that doesn't exist in my opinion in the United States Constitution, this right that was created, it was created in Griswold — Griswold was the contraceptive case — and abortion. And now we're just extending it out.

Quote:
“In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That’s not to pick on homosexuality. It’s not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be….If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything.

Santorum, Romney and Gingrich vow to enforce anti-porn laws | The Raw Story

Quote:
Republican presidential candidates Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich have all told the group Morality in Media that they would enforce federal obscenity laws that prohibit the distribution of pornography.

Those laws, the anti-pornography group said, are being ignored by the current administration.

“Federal obscenity laws should be vigorously enforced,” Santorum told the group. “If elected President, I will appoint an Attorney General who will do so.”

"In far too many families with young children, both parents are working, when, if they really took an honest look at the budget, they might find they don’t both need to…The radical feminists succeeded in undermining the traditional family and convincing women that professional accomplishments are the key to happiness".
This is a work in progress. I will try and update this as and when Frothy opens his mouth (because whenever he does, he says something crazy). Feel free to post in this thread with things that I may have missed so that I can add it to the original post.

You don't have the right to privacy, if you are found to be committing a crime.

If someone is aware of incest, rape, bigamy, beastiality... You don't have a right to keep doing it, when it is discovered.

That is what Santorum (not a fan) was eluding too.

Ole Rick Sanctimorium is a determined little Nazi isn't he....lol. He's just itching to get in the White House so he can start re-engineering society. And of course, he has all the answers, naturally.

George W. Bush is a man of strong faith but he wasn't a fanatic like this guy. Ronald Reagan was a man of strong faith, but not a fanatic like this guy. Ditto that for George H.W., Harry Truman, and many others. Sanctimorium will not get my vote!
