When Obama made his promise, the unemployment rate was below 8%.
And before the law was enacted the unemployment rate was above 8%. By the time the effects of the new law began to take hold a effects of BUSH'S GREAT RECESSION blew thru everyone's expectation.
Bush drove this country off a cliff and handed the wheel to Obama just before the resulting crash. Only a fool would blame Obama for the damage caused by the crash. He has been struggling to report the damage and you wingnuts have been blocking his efforts at every step.

I have bad news for you. Most people do not give the President a free pass on EVERYTHING like you do. Most people are going to hold him accountable for his failures on the economy, jobs, gas prices, and socialized medicine.

Even prominant (and more to the point - KNOWLEDGEABLE) Republicans have acknowledged that Obama will be VERY HARD to beat. It's just the uneducated and ignorant rabble that insists that Obama is toast.
