No one will be surprised when two-faced Mitt flip-flops again. He will be torn apart for either his right wing positions or his duplicity. Either way, he loses.

Does Gingrich stand as much of a chance as Santorum? Probably not. Neither probably has as much of a chance as Romney, I have to say is my gut feeling.

I have to say is my gut feeling.
My intent was to say that Santorum has a better record of winning in typically Democratic territory (though he was always strongly disliked by liberal and moderate Democrat voters iin Pennsylvania, he did well with the conservative ones) than does Gingrich (who, as far as I know, has only represented conservative Southern districts), and my conclusion was that neither Santorum or Gingrich would likely appeal to as many people as Romney, which was fairly plain in the original text before it was selectively quoted.

I agree with you. Santorum is a much tougher candidate in the rust belt states where this election may be won or lost. He is a pro-labor social conservative with blue collar roots. Romney, the elitist, will not do as well.

I only quote what stands out to me and should have put a ... after it. Your
original post was exactly directly above it anyways. Your message is the same.
You think Santorum wins democratic votes - I got that.

As a Democrat, I hope that Gingrich and Santorum stay in the race until the convention and then Romney can have the whole thing. Romney's rivals haven't made him stronger, they have only pointed out how weak of a candidate Romney is. If Romney has trouble closing against Gingrich and Santorum, he doesn't have a shot against Obama.

None of the four will drop out for quite some time. Since 2, 3, and 4 all have feeble delegate counts anyway, none of them can effectively say why another of the also rans should drop out.

Maybe Romney should drop out and "leave it to the crazies".

As someone who doesn't want the angry amoral serial cheater flip flopper, the wing nut who wants to create a theocracy, or the awkward flip flopper who stands for nothing, I say they should all stick it out. Romney will ultimately win, but the longer Romney has to campaign, the longer he has to flip flop, lie, and try to paint himself as some far right winger, which will damage him in the general election.

If I were hoping to change presidents, both Santorum and Gingrich should drop out. Gingrich stands absolutely no chance. Santorum appeals only to right wing extremist Christians who want to trash the constitution and turn the country into a Christian version of Saudi Arabia. The idea that he's going to win Democratic voters in the general is utterly insane. He's only attracting Democrats now because there's no contest on the left and some people would like to see the right continue to drag their primary fight out as long as possible.

Romney should drop out. The GOP ticket should be Gingrich/Santorum 2012.

Dream Team

Default It doesn't matter

All four could remain or drop out. The result will be the same-> An Obama win.

In another time, Romney doesn't even get a second look. But this pathetic goon is the frontrunner in this most pathetic GOP primary season. The rest simply are no better or worse. They're ALL bad.

If Ron Paul stays, they all should.
