As a democrat, I have to say that although I do not agree with Santorum's politics, I do respect the man and his personal beliefs. I am against abortion, but I believe it should remain legal.

I am a Catholic so I share many of his moral beliefs, I just think the man has let his personal beliefs corrupt his politics. He really needs to read the constitution and the intentions of the founders of the nation. They didn't want clergy or bible thumpers anywhere near the government.

Today I saw this article about Santorum pledging to end internet porn

Rick Santorum | Internet Pornography | Vigorous Crackdown | The Daily Caller

Yes, kind of crazy and probably impossible but it does make me respect the man for sticking his neck out where he knows it will take some whacks from many sharp weapons.

To add to this, I guess what I'm trying to say is I wouldn't apply for Canadian citizenship if Santorum wins. I think he is a very good person, even though he is misguided. I think he would get a dose of reality once in the White House and would cool a lot of his "out there" ideas. I think we could do a lot worse if for some reason Obama lost.

It won't be the funeral at my house that Bush's second term was I'll tell you that.

And Romney? Sorry, that guy is nuts and cannot be trusted.

Americans think too much about domestic policy when selecting a president. We forget our role in world. None of the Republicans can hold a candle to Obama in this area. He has 4 years of mistakes and experience. It makes a huge difference. We should be truly grateful that we have such an intelligent and able man guiding the foreign affairs of our nation. I would fear for the world if a knucklehead like Santorum became president.

I actually liked Santorum for a while (although I'm liberal, if I see a great conservative I would vote for him); but he will not be able to beat Obama. If Obama was still having the same problems as his first two years of presidency then every republican presidental candidate except Newt would be able to beat Obama. Now the economy has improved, a war has ended, etc. Obama is looking pretty good and I think he's obviously won already since Romney (the only one who could give Obama for his money-literally) can't keep his mouth shut about certain issues. An addition to that every republican candidate hasnt really said anything that will sell to us 99%.

Not unless there is a national time machine that will instantly transport us all back to the 14th century. Santorum is nothing but a 21st century Torquemada without the red robe and the portable rack and iron maiden.
