Yes, but that's not what this discussion is about. But on that note, I'm sure she never had to worry that she couldn't afford her treatment, or pay her doctor bills; yet another thing that most women in her position would have to be concerned with, but which is not a worry for her.

Again, what difference does this make? Ms. Rosen stated that Ann Romney never had to worry about financial issues, which is true. And that is why she doesn't speak for the majority of American women. You're deflecting so that you don't have to admit that this is the absolute truth. Ann Romney never had to face the same worries most women do in this country. You may not like it, but that's the truth.

No. She said Ann Romney never worked a day in her life. That is a lie and it is an insulting lie to any woman who ever gave up a career or the chance at a career to raise a family.

You're talking to one, so no reason to get so sanctimonious about it. Perhaps it was a poor choice of words, because of course, stay at home moms work full time and beyond. I know this first hand.

But that's not what Rosen was talking about, and what is more, I'm sure you know that; this is about the fact that Ann never had to face the economic uncertainty that many, many women, both stay at home and working women, face on a daily basis. You are choosing to ignore the point that Rosen was making, and instead focus on a few words to be insulted by. What about the real point that was being made--that Ann has never really dealt with the economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing? No comment about that?

She is married to the guy that has insulted the sensibilities of many with his off handed remarks that only a privileged person lacking empathy could utter. Let her clean up her own backyard...so to speak...before she throws stones.

And YOU are an embarrassment to the Republican Party and American Politics in general. You have ZERO problem attacking Democratic women and then claim you are only pointing out the facts, but scream outrage if anyone does the same to one of yours. Your Hypocracy is obvious for anyone here that has read your "stuff" on this site, but then most Party Hacks are hypocritical, they must be to stay true to their tactics. You have ZERO credibility.

From another thread...

Rosen wasn’t drawing a distinction between mothers who work inside and outside of the home, she was saying that women who do NOT work outside of the home DO NOT HAVE THE INTELLECT or the RIGHT to participate in a conversation about women in American society, or about much of anything else. Her remarks were designed to BELITTLE such women as empty, stupid, uninformed blobs of uterus attached to the men in their lives who do all of their thinking for them. Such women, in her view, should keep their ignorant mouths shut because they have nothing of merit to say. Rosen’s remarks are stunningly misogynistic, and should be offensive to everyone with women in their lives whom they respect, admire, look to for guidance, and share a life with.

I love how you Obama supporters will sink to any depths to defend these deplorable comments just because you understand that Obama is going to pay a price for them.

Not only that, she married a guy for which her Episcopal parents could NOT attend the wedding ceremony. I guess the combo of a Harvard JD/MBA was too much to resist. She knew that, by converting and marrying this guy, it meant "no career necessary." No one said raising kids is NOT hard work; however, it's easier than negotiating a career ladder.

Absolutely. And he is the one who dragged her into this issue, by claiming that he depends on his wife to tell him what women in the country are thinking. If he wants to use her to score political points, he should be prepared for the reaction.

Why doesn't Romney go straight to the source? Here's why...Romney does not connect well with the average American so it is not surprising that he lives an insulated life.
