Test of Fire: Election 2012 (Official HD Version - Catholic) - YouTube

Quote:
A web video launched five weeks ago caught the attention of Fox News yesterday, putting a focus back on the fight between the Obama administration and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, among others, over the HHS mandate on contraception, sterilization, and abortifacients. The ad does not come from the USCCB but from an organization of lay Catholics called Catholics Called to Witness, and uses dramatic production values to underscore a message that while policies on jobs and the economy are negotiable, religious freedom and life are not. The video already has nearly 300,000 views, and Fr. Jonathan Morris reports that the bishops and the laity remain highly engaged and motivated in making the HHS mandate a big issue in the general election — and not just the mandate, in terms of religious liberty:

Great to see Catholics standing up for their religious freedom!

About 22% of the American electorate are not going to vote for Mitt Romney simply based on his religion.

Just because the bishops happen to be pushing an 11th century agenda doesn't mean that all Catholics agree with them.

Catholics are not like Evangelicals, many disagree with the church's stand especially when it comes down to women's health issues.

"I'm Pretty Sure Obama Won't Win the Catholic Vote By 9% This Time"

I think President Obama will receive more votes from Roman Catholics than Mitt Romney does. Many U.S. Catholics do not agree with the most conservative teachings/beliefs of their church That group will face the challenge though: Obama and Romney have track records not too different. Don't look at Romeny the Presidential candidate and what he says. Look at how he acted, what he did as Governor of Mass. Overall, and onn balance, Obama is a candidate closer to Roman Catholics than Romney. That's how I see it.

Bishops aren't the only Catholics eligible to vote. I doubt these religious leaders voted for Obama last time around anyway. They have an agenda to trumpet.

Exactly. The catholics are the "blue collar" religion that strongly votes democrat. It's the evangelical loons that are the hard core right wingers.

Lightbulb Mormons vs Catholics

Mormons aren't all that enthralled with Catholics. Joseph Smith referred to them as "that great ***** of a church."
