MSNBC's idea of "fair and balanced" is having E.J. Dionne as the most conservative panelist. Laughable.
You are right about the "pretense" of objectivity.

This goes in the "I don't think that word means what you think it means," catagory.

That word means:
An attempt to make something that is not the case appear true.
A false display of feelings, attitudes, or intentions.

Thus, they invite shill Democrats to show their audience that they are objective when they are not.

BTW, MSNBC has conservative and Republican guest frequently. Cindy McCain has been on the TRMS several times and interviewed Rand Paul.

Maddow has asked Conservatives like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, and Sharon Angle to come on her show and they've repeatedly declined. The problem is that conservatives want to go onto Fox where they will be thrown soft-ball questions instead of actually getting asked tough questions on MSNBC.

The message that this isn't in the bag needs to be put out over and over. Obama can certainly win, but not if people assume it's going to be an easy landslide again.

It would be a huge mistake to underestimate the right. The hatred and rage they have for Barack Obama has reached truly epic levels. They have a very large "news" network dedicated to lying about Obama and trying to get Romney elected, along with a bunch of people on AM hate radio dedicated to pushing the same message. They have very wealthy ultra right wing donors who can spend limitless money.

Combine that with an economy that still isn't doing great (though it's much much better than it was), and this isn't going to be a cakewalk.

The hate-filled ranters are on the left. Witness what happened in Wisconsin. Pure roid rage from the libbies.

Obama is going down. Not because the right is "hate-filled," but because Oblama has totally failed to deliver. He'll lose because of his failed record, not because of any emotional response. A vote against Oblama is pure analysis and logic. It has nothing to do with emotion and everything to due with objectively and fairly gauging his first term, which has been an abysmal failure in virtually every respect.

Default The thread for the delusional Right

Not surprising that the clueless Right would start a ridiculous thread like this with an eye-catching headline that pacifies those on the Right, if only for a second or two. The realization is slowly setting in to those on the Right that Frankenstein Romney, the privileged goon, who wants to protect the rich, is fighting a losing battle. His ideology stinks pretty damn bad. He hails from the same party which cursed us with Bush for 8 horrific years.

Romney hails from a party, which broke Congress. Republicans created the "Congress from Hell" with the tea-party downgrade, and subhumans like Maggot McConnell, dumb baby Boehner, and cavemen Cantor and Ryan. These Neanderthals have obstructed and been a detriment to the policies of this great President because they realize that Obama is capable of benefiting this country in ways that Republicans could never achieve.

Romney can't win. Republicans can't convince this country that they deserve to be back. They create record deficits from surpluses. Helpthe rich get richer while everyone else goes to hell. They are willing to ignore a health care crisis, illegal immigration crisis, predatory lending practices, a housing crisis, bank fee crisis, mortgage crisis, street gang crime crisis, crumbling infrastructure, an economic crisis, and an economic crisis, in order to nation-build abroad to "spread democracy." They are colossal failures in effectively resolving the problems that plague this nation, preferring instead to divert attention away from their rich-supporting policies, by creating fear and warmongering.

Republicans couldn't get bin Laden over 7 years of Neanderthal diplomacy and foreign policy. It took PRECISION AND INTELLIGENCE to get bin Laden, not some bonehead "shock and awe" display. This is the difference between Romney and President Obama. Romney is bonehead, neanderthal, goon policy that has never proven effective. President Obama is about precision, intelligence, inclusion, and effectiveness. It goes on, but the choice it clear.

Tremendous edge to President Obama.

When a convicted felon still incarcerated receives 41% of the votes against OBAMA - that is a clear signal that Obama is toast during the next election! 80 million Americans are out of work; We know they will flush obama down the toilet of history in this upcoming landslide against this dictator wanna be.

There is only one thing good people will say about Obama; Thank God he is gone!

Two things about republicans that are helpful to presidential candidates is that they always rally around the nominee and they always forget how badly the nominees who actually became president sucked.
Yeah just like they rallied around McCain.

Since you can't figure it out on your own and would never admit to watching Fox, let me explain. These same pundits have carried his water and polished his crown 'til lately. Hard to believe someone has to explain the meaning of "turning" to you. On second thought, not so hard to believe.

Which 7 would those be? I haven't seen 7. I think we should have a contest to see who can guess who those 7 are.

Those spreading lies about Obama will not prove nearly as damaging as those spreading the truth about Obama.

I must have missed that one.
