Self entertainer for sure. An objective indicator the intrade so far still shows O has about 20 points lead over R to get elected even personally I disprove O in many aspects and I might wish R got elected.

Romney is in the same boat as John Kerry except this time Republicans are the deluded ones thinking a person who NO ONE is enthusiastic about will somehow overcome the staggering electoral math to squeak out a victory.
All of the insiders on both sides say it's going to be a close election, and every electoral college forecast actually shows Obama ahead - but think whatever you want. Maybe you're a psychic and you can see what no one else can see.
I'm always amazed by the people who think their premonitions are more reliable than every poll and every expert involved in the campaigns.
The analysis I have seen show the usual 190 on each side locked, with the usual swing states. Obama needs to enter that day with a distinct lead, as incumbents never get last minute deciders who were unsure.
Do you deny this will be an election year where it will be either for, or against Obama, and the opponent doesnt really matter much? Obama ran against McCain with the same idea, painting him as Bush 3..
It depends on whether Mitt will give voters a reason to vote for him. At this point, the election is way too far off to get anything meaningful out of the early polls, and right now, it's very hard to say with any objectivity if the election is going to be a referendum for Obama or not. It could become one, but right now, I don't think it is yet.
The 'anyone but Obama' noise is loud right now, but only among folks like us who view politics as a sport. The wider public's opinions are not so firm at all, especially among those who decide their vote on a candidate's manner and personal appeal.
Do not believe that the Democrats are taking this election for granted and will stay home. Conservative deadlock in Washington has them plenty motivated, and the party still has a very solid 50 state organization on the ground.
If you don't believe the Democrats will turn out, all you have to do is look at Wisconsin. Win or lose, the recall may be a very tight race, and both parties know it. As Wisconsin goes in the recall, so could the rest of the country come November.

LOL! The bases will offset each other, and independents will decide if they wish to give the incumbent a 2nd term. It is always a referendum on the incumbent.
Pffft...if the GOP had found itself a halfway decent candidate who either wasn't a shill for corporate plutocracy or religious fundamentalism, they might have actually given themselves a legitimate shot at winning back the presidency this year.
As Gomer Pile would say, "Surprise, Surprise, Surprise." I can't imagine that Fox would pick Democrats to be on the air who criticize Obama. That's shocking -- not.
Those at Fox probably know it's spelled... Gomer Pyle.
