Perry is correct.

Endorsements are nothing but bs, anyway. When someone jumps up and endorses someone from a different state or for an office they know nothing about, I just shake my head.

I would agree for a local office, but a senator votes on issues that effect the whole country.

Ol' Texas Purist Rick didn't seem to have any trouble accepting the endorsements of Sarah Palin and Phyllis Schlafly, among others, during the 2010 primary season when he was running for Governor the last time.

But, I guess outsider meddling in Texas elections only counts if they're not supporting one of the GOP insiders.
