It should be totally up to the teachers if they want a union or not. I think that card check should certify a union BUT a private ballot should be held before the union can proceed to be recognized as the bargaining agent. That prevents both parties (employers and employees) from intimidation of anybody. As for the union taking money from your check, if the majority of employees want a union, the union, by law, is the bargaining agent for ALL the employees in the bargaining unit and so is justified in charging employees what it cost for the union to represent them. Membership in the union however should be optional.

Back to the topic--it looks like the Democrats are going to win back at least one state senate seat on Tuesday, giving them a majority. It's kind of a hollow victory for them though, because the legislature is out of session for the year, and a bunch of the seats will be up again in November. Short of Walker calling a special session during the summer (unlikely) or the Lt. Governor calling one (if Walker is indicted on corruption charges, etc. this summer) it doesn't look like the new democratic majority is going to get a chance to do anything. The really interesting twist would be if a D won the Lt. Governor's position and Walker stays in, because that spot is up for recall too.

Unable to address the fact that Walker was kissing the ring of his corporate owner, not to mention committing a federal crime by lying under oath?

Otherwise it doesn't matter if they are union or non-union, a strong and vibrant middle class is what makes this nation great. By having a strong middle class, it creates strong economies that allows everyone, not just the rich to be able to live the american dream.

This is what the democrats fight for, and what the GOP is out to destroy.

P.S. And guess which one has balanced a budget.
According to Walker's numbers from his office, or according to independent source?

We already know the answer to that one though, don't we.

You keep repeating this nonsense with no factual backup.

If indictment was so imminent, why in heaven's name didn't the prosecutor do it before the recall tomorrow? Hint: He doesn't have grounds to indict.

By the way, even if an indictment comes, it is meaningless because the special prosecutor is a hyperpartisan leftist shill:

Quote:
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm is standing by an investigator working on the two-year John Doe investigation of former and current aides to Gov. Scott Walker even though the staffer has a sign in his front yard that advocates recalling the first-term governor.
The Wauwatosa home of David Budde, chief investigator for Chisholm, also has a pro-union Blue Fist sign in the front door.
See, mb1547, if Republicans were going after Oblama or Clinton like this, you'd be calling it a "witch hunt." But, since the target is someone you disagree with, you think it's totally legitimate. You're hilarious.

I am looking at the bls numbers for both.

Walker has seen unemployment fall during his tenure, Obama has not seen it fall.

Walker has seen a net increase in jobs during his tenure, Obama has not.

So you actually oppose Obama and agree with Walker on most of these issues.

How do you feel about a public union owning its own health insurance provider that gets a monopoly through collective bargaining?

Do you even read what you write?

So, once again, who/what are the other 2.2 million non-union workers that work in Wisconsin? Please tell us? Are they middle class? Are they lower class? Please give us your well informed decision....We are waiting...

LOL deflecting again. Do you not care that Walker lied under oath committing a serious federal crime that is an impeachable offense?

Also I just did address the question, unlike those on the right that just dodge questions, but I guess they have reading comprehension issues,..

Deflection is bring up something that has nothing to do with the OP, just like you bringing up your post above....what does your post above have to do with the elections tomorrow?

No, you addressed 300,000 workers, not the other 2.2 million workers....

I believe what you are saying is, that people who are non-union are less not middle class, what does that make them, lower class or elite class?

Don't worry we know what your answer is, lower class!
