Why didn't President Obama campaign For Barrett? If that recall election is so close, Obama won Wisconsin in 2008, Obama was campaigning in the neighborhood (Minnesota), and Obama gets a lot of money from the unions, why was he a no-show for Barrett?
I've read articles where people say Obama is risk averse but if Governor Walker prevails won't union workers put the blame on Obama for Barrett losing? Wisconsin was never considered to be a swing state in the 2012 presidential race so to me it wasn't really risky to campaign for Barrett.
Okay, now forget about Barrett for a minute. I don't know which Democrats are running for re-election in the Senate but is he campaigning for any of them?

I believe the President sees the recall election as a local, state issue. Not a national issue. More than a million people asked for the opportunity to reconsider the election of the current Governor. If this had been a U.S. House or Senate recall election, or general election for either of those offices, then I think he may have made an appearance for the Democratic candidate(s). I think he made the right decision, to stay away. Let the people of Wisconsin vote and decide for themselves. The President has enough on his "plate" at the moment.
That's because people like Bill Clinton compared to Obama. All Obama can talk about is Romney not Obama's record and since Romney is not the issue in Walker vs Barrett, Obama's got nothing.
I wish Oboy would have campaigned for Barrett. Scott will win, anyway, but had Oboy campaigned, it would have made it a landslide for Scott.
Toxic is putting it mildly.
