You really need to not discuss topics that are beyond your scope of knowledge. Obama's task force did take the auto industry through what was a managed bankruptcy...closing plants, dealerships and laying off workers after they decided the companies own reorganization and scaling back plans was not sufficient. Managed bankruptcy does not mean a company is forced out of business, it just allows the company time to reorganize and pay back debt at a later date.

GM has not paid back a penny of the government money with car profits. It is a complete falsehood that they have. GM got over 50 Billion dollars and paid back a 7 Billion loan with OTHER GOVERNMENT money.
GM still has in place many of the reasons why they failed to begin with, because after all, we have to protect the union.

Perhaps you should research things a little......GM in the end still went through bankruptcy,it isn't a secret,every newspaper and news program in the country talked about it.
Whole divisions of GM were closed down.....thats why you can't buy a new Pontiac,Hummer,Saturn,or Saab.Many dealerships of the remaining divisions were forced to close because their franchises were pulled.....some had been selling GM cars since the early 20th century.Thousands DID lose their jobs across the country.Stockholders in GM were left with worthless stock while the courts allowed 'new stock in the new GM' to be established.
A lot of this may have been necessary but to claim it didn't happen and not know it did happen is silly...google is your friend.
