As you may recall the Valerie Plame case was thoroughly investigated by prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, and Lewis 'scooter' Libby was convicted, not for outing her but for lying to investigators, a la Martha Stewart. The guy who actually admitted to having been the source that outed her was Richard Armitage, state dept guy & close ally of Colin Powell, not Bush or Cheney.

Why would you want Holder to open up another investigation of that when it has already been investigated & disposed of?

My understanding is that Libby was convicted of obstruction (serving to put the matter to rest with the public), but Rove/Cheney and the leak itself, was never pursued.

lying to investigators, obstruction, same thing.

Armitage admits leaking Plame's identity - CNN

Again, why the need for yet another investigation when this puzzle has been solved?

I wouldn't bet the rent money on that. This is all a very serious issue and he will be the first in his position to be found in contempt of Congress if they vote to find him in contempt. For him to risk that, he is covering up some big stuff for some big people. We shall see how loyal he really is before it's over.

It's really easy to look stuff up before posting stuff you are not up on.

I agree. It's gone on far, far too long already. Holder should be in prison.

At least you aren't shy about proving you know nothing about the gun runner situation, you're still hooked on Clinton and his indiscretions and everyone else is talking about things that have taken place recently.

I am not hooked on Clinton at all - repub media and forum posters keep bringing him up, as an example of the "far left", whenever it suits them. Repubs just can't quit him.

I wonder if Cornyn will have to atone for his falsely accusing Holder of Perjury?

The way I see it Holder has only 5 months before he's job hunting anyway. If he quit tomorrow, who would take a job like that for just a few months. The confirmation process alone would eat up most of the time.

Romney better not make the same mistake Bush did. The minute he takes the oath of office his first act should not be Obamacare but to ask the attorneys in the DOJ to hand in their resignations.
