House committee schedules contempt vote against Holder - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Quote:
(CBS News) CBS News has learned the House Oversight Committee will vote next week on whether to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. It's the fourth time in 30 years that Congress has launched a contempt action against an executive branch member.

This time, the dispute stems from Holder failing to turn over documents subpoenaed on October 12, 2011 in the Fast and Furious "gunwalking" investigation.

Great job Obama, you picked a great one this time.

Republicans didn't create an illegal gun running program across the US/Mexico border which lead to the death of a US border patrol officer then tried to cover it up and hide documents about it while lying about knowing it ever existed.

Democrats did.
Eric Holder did.
Obama's corrupt administration did.

Blah, blah, blah. This committee is nothing more than a political circus and you righties are the sideshow clowns. Holder should arrest the members and send them to Gitmo for treason.

As usual, the title of the thread is a lie as told by a Republican. They are holding a vote on whether to continue. It won't happen.

Maybe, maybe not but I seem to recall many posts saying that there is no way Walker wins the recall election.

But yes, a dog and pony show as politicians never actually hold each other accountable for much of anything.

It's good to see that liberals will continue to look past anything (even murder) to keep their corrupt goons in office. We are lucky as a country that the majority of tax paying Americans see liberals for the worthless corrupt trash that they are.

I figure that Holder is dirty. Too many unexplained lies and 'anomalies' in this case. The official testimony for why the op was even conducted is 'dog ate my homework' material. The ex-ATF head gave secret testimony of a coverup. I figure Pres. Obama may well be dirty too, which is why Holder has not been thrown under the bus. I think Obama saw the need to retool from the ground up when it came to gun control, and somebody came up with this hare-brained scheme, and he went along.

But you have to prove all that of course. But I'm further guessing Issa is smart enough to know that you don't strike at a king unless you're sure you can make a kill-strike. IOW, Issa has enough smoking gun evidence now to go for it.

"Law and order" loving repubs should be wondering why Holder isn't investigating Bush/Cheney for trumped up war intelligence, or Cheney/Rove for outing a CIA agent. You know - important stuff.
Better to get Dems for engaging in sexual foreplay and then covering it up. Just depends on priorities, right.....
