Um, how is Romney going to poll high when he (as of now) is badly losing the WOMEN vote, the LATINO vote, the LGBT vote, and of course the AFR AMER vote?
The disdain for these groups emitted by the Right is aimed at the very being of these people. It's a wonder why it's only 4 or 5 percentage points.
Obama certainly presents some question marks, but they are on complicated issues where smart people know the answers are not so easy: getting out of Afghanistan sooner, cutting gov't employment, rading medical marijuana facilities, not penalizing finance execs, continuing some wrong subsidies, various painful budgetary decisions, etc.
Obama continues to poll (Gallup) below the average.

I love it when you people talk like that when the Dems have been in complete control of our government for over 3 1/2 years. Oh year, they are still in control since one house of Congress is under Reid's thumb and refuses to do anything that Obama may not like. Nope, you are trying to keep people from knowing why Obama failed on his promise to straighten out the economy in three years or he was going to get out.

It took over 8 years to screw it up so do you really think that ANYONE can fix this mess in 4 and not to mention that I have noticed that not ONE republican on this forum can explain why the leading republican leaders vowed on Jan 20 2009 not to agree on anything that the president does.
What you have is an uninspiring President and an equally uninspiring challenger. Unless Romney manages to kick his image and campaign up a couple of gears, many people will just vote for the 'devil they know'.

Those are the votes he probably has anyway. I think it more likely that Obama will try to offer something to middle American independents who will decide who wins and who loses.

No, I think that you need to learn to pay attention better. Actually they are both on the doll of private companies but mitt is clueless without them telling him what to say, which explains why he seems to flip flop so often.
