He won't. The conservatives who have the biggest problem with Mormonism are the same people who think Obama is a Muslim.
Furthermore, attacking Mormonism (and, BTW, Mormons ARE Christians) would only open up the door to bringing Obama's relationship with Rev. Wright into the campaign.
I agree, good points. Obama doesn't want his radical past brought back up. Otherwise, he wouldn't be afraid to play that card. He certainly isn't afraid to play the race card in the 2008 primary, 2008 campaign or again in 2012.
Thing is, he's never done the former. I don't think I got what I voted for, but I'm not so blind in my madness to scream make-believe. Obama has never attacked rich people; suggested we raise taxes on huge wage earners to lower national debt while simultaneously lowering them to all-time lows, yes. Attacking? You're just plain wrong.
Obama is far more centrist than right-wingers give him credit.
Are you serious? Who do you think pays the taxes on corporations? Do you think there's a little room somewhere where magic technology churns out magic money to pay the tax bill?
Attacking business IS attacking successful people, like it or not. Only a lib would be unable to make the connection.
Just wondering if you all think we'll begin to see Obama play the Christian card?
It seems sort of obvious to me that he should play the Christian card against Romney's Mormon card (for votes in the Southern and Midwestern swing states...). To do so would seem somewhat taboo, but, at the same time, what better way to conservatives in swing states?
What do you think?
I can't beleive anyone would think this is a good idea. It would show disparation first off, and would be totally lacking in any class. This would be like saying, he should play the black card. Religion has no place in politics. As for attracting people from the swing states, it would backfire big time. Most of the south will still support Romney regardless of the Mormon issue and this hold true in the strong red midwest. Right now people care more about the economy, illegals and security, they don't care what color or religion our elected officials are.
While I wish that were true, it's not. The "Bible Belt" wasn't named in spontaneity, after all. The questions is, how much will Obama gain from playing the "Christian card?" Given the small number of Mormons, particularly outside the red state of Utah, he has little to lose.
He has everythinng to lose, it is called self respect....as for the Mormon's and other states outside of Utah. I have no idea where you live, but the religion is growing nationally as well as world wide. Ca, NV, Texas, the south, even here in AR. the other day we were in an Asian grocery store and a group of about 6 or 7 Mormon young men, a couple were Asian were shopping there. Overall, Romney did ok in the southern primaries considering his competition. You probably need to research the Mormon religion a little more. It is also important to remember, almost all Mormons are conservative, certainly Republicans and they always vote. This can't be said about every religion or ethnic group. BTW, no I am not a Mormon, but I have had a lot of Mormon friends and associates.
It appears you are so much an Obama supporter you can't see past your nose.

He should play the President card, which he has been and will continue.

He hasn't been playing the president card (other than using tax payer $$$ for campaign trips), it sounds like he is running against an incumbent. "Bush, Bush, Bush, Tsunami, Bush, Bush, Tsunami, Bush."

LOL don't quit your day job, political analysis does not suit you. Obama has no Christian card to play. He found Christianity along with his blackness in his 30s, right around the time he started embarking on a political career.
I actually would laugh if Obama played the Christian card against Romney and it worked. It would be sweet revenge against all the trash Republicans have been hurling at Obama since 2008.
