Politics - Conor Friedersdorf - Mitt Romney Says He Could Wage War on Iran Without Congress' Approval - The Atlantic

How reassuring! Please remind me why the war-weary public should vote for this jackass again?

So you think only Obama holds power to wage war on countries without Congressional approval?

I just wonder how Romney or anyone else plans to pay for it... with more debt? Sounds like a great plan...

Saying he can do it, isnt the same as doing it.

Chris Matthews delivered a effective commentary on Mitt Romney tonight. It was scathing, but so accurate. Find it on You Tube or a replay tonight if you can.

This is why I see no reason to change presidents. More war, more debt, more big government. I would rather stick with 4 more years of Obama than give Romney a chance to use 8 years of it.

Of course he is going to do it,Israel told him to he is going to do it. Simple as that. Obama may be a complete moron but I admire the fact he is not a complete push over to Israel.

While neither has the wisdom of Paul in this regard, of the two, Obama is one heck of a lot less likely to start another pointless war than is Romney whose advisers are the same as that war mongering Bush.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Also, what would be the point in changing one President who doesn't respect the Constitution with another who doesn't? What is the difference in Romney's and Obama's foreign policies? Here is the answer - NONE.

Romney just reminded me why I hate him so much.

Unfortunately, the American people are war mongers. I attribute it to poor education and ignorance about foreign affairs and people from other countries. We think we can bomb and beat others into behaving the way we want them to for our good. Every candidate has to act tough to get elected. But on balance, Obama is much more of a diplomat and, with four years under his belt trying to clean up the mess left by his predecessor, he is the preferred candidate if peace and non-intervention are your objectives.
