Maybe it was a reference to the last Democratic President, Bill Clinton, who "innocently took" White House Silverware and other items to the total value of $190,000 on his way out the door. You honestly don't remember that little scandal? The Clintons ended up giving back a few of the items and paying for some of the other items and doing neither for some.

Not sure who this was directed at, but, the only time I get nasty is when you want to use the government to take my money and spend it on your favorite boondoggle. You can do whatever you want with your own money. This includes abortion, gay marriage, prostitution or whatever, things which usually sends the RW religious bigots into a rage. I don't care. Maintaining a just, liberal, safe society COSTS LOTS OF MONEY. We don't get to pick and choose where our tax money goes ( except generally, through elections). Are you not willing to contribute your share? Are you a member of society, or not? Do you want to reap the benefits, but not pay the freight? Are you a free-loader?

Oh you don't get it. I am socially liberal, but I don't want the government enforcing that social liberalism. You want the government enforcing gay marriage. I want the government out of marriage altogether and consenting adults be able to do whatever they want. You want the government giving you free abortions with taxpayer money. I want the government out of the abortion business and don't care if you want to do abortions with your _own_ money. And so on.
And please spare me the "fair share" balderdash. That's socialist-lingo for wanting to steal someone else's money. You pay your way and I pay mine. There is no freeloading in this, but rather, I'm obstructing YOUR freeloading. If the government stays within the confines of the Constitution, you wouldn't need to steal money from the people to shove down the government black hole.
Does that make sense? If not, you will have to further explain how you think you are morally entitled to probe inside my wallet and my life.
