If Obama loses NC, and I think he probably will, it will be by no more than a few % points. However, Obama doesn't need NC to win, anyway, and I kind of doubt his campaign is expecting a win there.

The assumption being that blacks and illegals compete for the same low-wage, low-skill jobs. McDonald's fry cook is about as good as these posters believe they can do, apparently.

Then again, who are they going to vote for? It's not like the GOP has their backs on the issues, either.
I always laugh whenever I see any threads where they talk about blacks and support of obama. Even if obama hasnt been great, what's our alternative, republicans? I think we'll ride this democrat thing out.

Thanks.
Of course it's not in the Bible. It's not in The Book of Mormon either. But if you think the idea that it is originated with the Mormons, you've got another think coming. Pretty much every conservative Protestant denomination has, at one time or another, believed that black skin was a curse from God. Google it if you doubt I know what I'm talking about.

I'm surprised you weren't aware of this. The LDS Church had a policy against black men holding the priesthood (which is a lay priesthood, and open to all men) until thirty-four years ago. It could be argued pretty easily that many Mormons (like many people of other religions) during the first two-thirds of the twentieth century were racist. When the Church was first founded, this policy was not in place and black men were ordained to the priesthood. It was only after Joseph Smith's death that his successor (Brigham Young) initiated the ban. In June, 1978, when that policy was reversed, it was an extremely happy day for the majority of white-skinned Mormons. Today, I think most Mormons actually bend over backwards to show that they aren't racist.

Mitt Romney would have been 31 on the day the policy change was announced. I was a couple of months shy of 30. It was one of the most memorable days of my life, and I suspect Mitt probably felt much the same as I did. I remember the day as if it were yesterday. It was June, 1978. I was working in downtown Salt Lake City, at ad advertising agency about two blocks away from LDS Church headquarters. Someone at the agency had a radio on when the announcement was made. It was just before lunch. I was so thrilled to hear the news, that I just couldn't concentrate on my work. I decided to go to lunch a little bit early. As I was crossing the street to go into the mall where I usually got a bite to eat, I became aware of the fact that I had this huge smile on my face. I just couldn't help it. I was so happy that I was grinning from ear to ear. When I realized that, I immediately felt uncomfortable and thought that everybody must wonder what my problem was. Then I looked around and everybody was smiling! It was a wonderful day.

Correct, and I did not mean to imply that the Mormons started this. I was shocked when a good friend told me that God cursed "Ham" (leader of one of the tribes of Israel) and turned him black. She was a Baptist. I don't know which branch, not southern.
