So, how shall we perceive this no-show on the part of several major GOP candidates. I see it as far more than remiss, and will factor it into my growing displeasure with the candidates and their debating skills:
They all declined to debate in the Latin forum held by Telemundo as well if I am not mistaken.
Considering how many African-American and Latino-American voters there are in the US, I have to wonder exactly which peoples votes are they hoping to get?
Who the hell says those 4 fools are the top 4 candidates???
LOL..oh yeah the media who is controlled by the government LOL
Because anyone that knows or follows what is REALLY going on and not listening to what the "media" puts out will know for a fact that Ron Paul is a serious contender (hence their venom for him during debates)

GO RON PAUL!!
Speaking of, I need to go catch that debate, the one with actual Republicans showing up to it.
btw FranceJ, I noticed Ron Paul's goal of 500,000 dollars in a week has been far surpassed already and now is shooting to raise 1,000,000 in 7 days! Pretty impressive considering he is doing it 10 bucks at a time. :-)

McCain offered to show up for Telumundo, and I don't know if that might have further hurt him with base republicans. I too wonder what they are thinking, Bush picked up some evangelical black votes, and I guess the party doesn't see those votes at risk. Without these votes, Ohio would have gone for Kerry, so I think ignoring them may carry an ultimate price (if they choose to stay home instead).
Ron Paul takes first with second and third place at his heels. I did think Ron Paul was rather tepid this evening and it looked as though he had the flu? Still got the most applause by far.
Huckabee did very well in my opinion in balanced responses between staying on topic and pandering to the crowd as politicians seem to have to do.
Biggest surprise was Tancredo who managed quite a bit of applause from the audience. I also noticed he mirrored some of Ron Paul's talking points about constitutionality of various issues.
Losers, Duncan Hunter who was the hunted and looked like a deer in the headlights. Nearly a third of his responses left me and the audience asking, what the heck is he talking about.
Alan Keyes... stick to the pulpit my man, you have some decent ideas but are definitely not Presidential material
Brownback, Brownback, Brownback echo echo echo This guy was Ferris Buellers teacher.
I must say this though, it was the most fairly done debate so far as their standing order was random and each candidate had equal time. Although less than an actual debate and more of a Q and A session, it was still well done in what I would say was a tough crowd to please.
Thanks for the summary. I missed it because my daughter called, and she is more important to me than these guys.
Appreciate your views! Sounds like Ron Paul may be a winner...with more momentum and revelations about others that will be revealed...more and more...as time goes on.

I meant to include this in my last response but anyway...
They left four podiums empty and on stage to stress to the black and latin voters who showed up and who didn't and it did in my opinion make a great impact. At the very beginning there was some rather lengthy carrying on about it that went a bit overboard but I am willing to bet dollars for donuts that at least one of those four regretted not going.
Out of the four who didn't show up, I suspect that the biggest losers were McCain and Romney who still had some sway with black voters but no more. These people were offended.
Alan Keyes even eluded to the fact that the four who didn't show up all showed up at the Republican Jewish Committee debate... ouch.
