Gas prices were $1.89 when Obama took office 3.5 years ago. It has almost doubled since then. But you think Obama deserves four more years because he is doing everything right? Seriously?

I love it when conservatives quote this figure but conveniently forget that the $1.89 prices was a five year low that lasted only a few short months. It's not an accurate reflection of the truth. Gas prices were over $4 earlier in 2008 and rose steadily throughout much of the Bush administration.

The oil companies are getting the same tax breaks that every company gets.

Also, explain to me how taking less $$$ from a company = borrowing money from China. You are acting like 100% of Exxon's money is the right of the US government. Are you a communist. I am not asking as an insult, it just seems to be your mentality.

Fact: The US makes more $$$ of Exxon oil than Exxon -- Exxon is getting taxed enough.

If the US government taps into oil profits more they may up and leave - the ironic thing is the government would give them a tax write off to leave.

Do you have a problem losing jobs and major tax sources?

Yes, thanks to President Obama the steep decline in natural gas prices means my condominium association will save about $25,000 this year, and more the next. Tens or hundreds of thousands of other condominium or rental apartment buildings are saving similarly, as are millions of factories and small businesses. Billions of dollars saved thanks to President Obama.

Obama himself said that high gas prices were as a result to Presidential failed energy policies. Its very relevant to bring up the price when Obama took office.

Furthermore, any coincidence to the price dropping now, during election time again? mmmm..

Obama has absolutely nothing at all to do with the decline in natural gas prices just like he's not responsible for the gas price increase, nor the current decrease taking place. For gods sakes stop and educate yourself

Obama is responsible for a mild winter, which lowered demand and built up supply?

Does Obama also part the Red Sea for you to?

Both sides of the fence on this argument are both right and wrong, he's really not to praise or blame for either. Alot of it is market forces at work and unfortunately right now energy is high the dollar is worth about as much as Charmin, and China is consuming oil in increasing amounts.
