I am glad to see that they are setting the record straight on this outsourcing BS. They need to continue to set the record straight when such misrepresentations are intentionaly made in the media and by the Obama camp. Don't let them get away with it.

Romney Campaign Takes on Post’s ‘Outsourcing’ Article
By Jennifer Rubin
Editors of The Post met this afternoon with members of the Romney campaign to discuss The Post’s coverage of purported outsourcing by Bain Capital companies. As reported elsewhere, The Post refused to retract its story.
The Romney campaign has now gone nuclear, releasing a blow-by-blow rebuttal to The Post’s story.
Read The Romney Campaign's Rebuttal Below
The Washington Post asserted that under Mitt
Romney Bain Capital sent jobs overseas
based on an analysis of 6 companies

1. Corporate Software, Inc.
2. Stream International
3. Modus Media
4. GT Bicycle
5. SMTC
6. ChipPAC

No call centers at CSI or then Stream Int’l
were moved offshore under Mitt Romney

“By the time Romney left Bain, Stream’s call centers
had grown from just a few hundred people in
Massachusetts to approximately 5,000 employees
across the United States. Stream was not
‘shipping jobs overseas,’ but creating thousands of
jobs for American workers in places like
Massachusetts, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas.
Stream’s international operations served foreign
clients in their local languages across Europe… If you
called Microsoft or Dell from the United States for
technical support, we answered the phones from one
of our locations in the United States. If you called
Microsoft, for instance, in French from France, we
answered your call in France.”
- Scott Murray, Former President of Stream
International

No production at Modus was moved offshore
under Mitt Romney

“Modus was simply not an example of American jobs
being sent overseas during Romney’s time. While
Mitt was around, Modus expanded in the United
States, created around 700 American jobs, and
supported American tech jobs for companies like
Microsoft. Products sold in the Americas were put
together and managed in the United States. Modus
did not send American jobs overseas. The
international facilities packaged products for
companies like IBM and AT&T so they could sell their
products in those local markets. This was a good deal
for American workers all around and greatly increased
international sales for American products.”
-Dan Beck, President of the Americas Region, Modus
Media

The Post is cheering on Obama while trying to play the neutral card.

The liberal media does not care about FACTS. They are a propaganda unit for Obama and are in the business of FACT DISTORTION in order to gain thier political agenda.

The American "media" is more embarrassing than the old Pravda and Esvestiev and are no longer trusted by the balance of America. They have become a joke and have betrayed any sense of professional ethics.

This just makes the Romney campaign look more inept.

Why didn't they give this info to the WaPo while they were writing this story? They could have killed this before it happened. Now they will have "outsourcer-in-chief" haunting them for the rest of the campaign. As you all know, the rebuttal doesn't matter once the Pandora's box is opened (cough, birthers, cough, Kenyan-Muslim-socialists, cough).

WaPo, along with much of the media is not neutral Watching MSNBC right now, reacting to Romney's comments on the abysmal unemployment report. They can hardly manage not to drag the conversation to the Romney campaigns missteps on the health care tax.

Anything to distract the audience away from the serial p..-poor economic policies by the Obama administration.

^This jobs report should shift the talk in July back to the economy, which is where Obama is losing serious ground among independents and the general electorate.

Back on topic - the story is quite slanted and the logic is quite interesting. But hey, the Obama campaign has found a tactic that is weakening Romney's image in blue collar areas like Ohio and Michigan. They will continue the message of 'outsourcing' jobs while the White House administration continues to remain inept on the domestic economy.

How do you know the Post went over the article in full detail with Romney's campaign before they printed it?

You are right, I am assuming that the Romney campaign was contacted for information before the story was published. If you go to the article linked above, there is another link to the WaPo where one of their bloggers muses on why the Romney campaign chose this strategy and basically says the same.

A lot of this rebuttal is also paragraphs from CEOs of the companies Bain bought/managed. Seriously, couldn't they find something better than that, and quickly? They are inept.

The Obama campaign is still talking about the outsourcing. They don't care whether or not it's true.
It's about perception. They are trying to sway people. And we all know that Americans don't bother to check things and take talk as fact.

I highly doubt when the Washington Post wrote this piece of propaganda they consulted Mitt Romney for the facts...sheesh!
