Romney on abortion: One issue, seven positions - Lean Forward

Since 2002, Romney has had seven different positions on abortion, according to Slate's William Saletan.
The first, and perhaps most important shift according to Saletan, happened in 1994 when Romney met with representatives of the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City, arguing with his church's leaders that a poll he'd had commissioned indicated he had to run as pro-choice in order to be elected to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts.
“That’s classic Romney," said Saletan. "It was the beginning of a pattern that has characterized his career."

That video makes him look pretty bad. Like the one where Obama contradicts himself a few years later.

Yeah surprisingly his own party let him off pretty easy on this in the debates. He basically caters his position on this issue to fit the electorate. Essentially, that makes him pro-choice.
