I haven't seen any hit pieces on each of Romney's kids in the media. In other words they apparently haven't been vetted unlike Palin's kids were in 08. I am curious to know why this hasn't happened or is it about to begin? Or does the vetting only pertain to kids of Vice Presidential candidates? So what should the media inquire about pertaining to each of Romney's kids?

His children are kept out of the spotlight, for the most part. They have not been involved in any scandals, don't have their own TV show, and don't have the language and respect problem that the two older Palin girls seem to have.
Note that Track Palin has not been in the media spotlight, because he chose to keep himself removed from it. Bristol and Willow could have chosen a similar path, but did not. Unfortunately, that means that their poor choices become national tabloid fodder.

Aren't his kids a little older?
Maybe they object to being dragged in front of millions of people and USED like stage props?
Or maybe they they haven't been asked to be paraded around like prize ponies.
Or maybe they will appear more often as the campaign progresses......
His kids were vetted the last time Mitt ran for president and they are milk toast, good kids/adults. If they start setting themselves up on reality TV shows like the Palin's daughters, coverage of them would change.

The reason Track wasn't in the spotlight for a while was because he was fighting in the infantry over in Afghanistan and Iraq. Only when he came home did the media jump on him when he married and went into the fishing business.

The Palin kids were't in reality shows when they were introduced during the campaign. The media went after them immediately.

I have heard nothing of him, and had no idea he was married until there was a 3 line news story on the birth of his daughter. Hardly "jumping" on him.
