The city of Newport Beach may call the bill collectors on President Barack Obama's re-election campaign. Obama still owes Newport Beach $35,000 for the cost of providing police protection during a February fundraiser. The bill was sent in May and due in June. The city even sent a reminder notice. Agency claims they do not have the budget to pay for those expenses

Should the tax payer be stuck with the bill when a president is fundraising or campaigning? Since Obama is campaigning so much in Ohio I wonder how much he is costing Ohio tax payers.

Obama refused to pay, Romney does pay.

Governments should not be spending taxpayer dollars for the promotion of partisan politics, right?

Well the Obama campaign has been running deficits for the past couple of months. Obama needs to preserve some money for the final push. Unfortunately he is sticking the bill to localities in this campaign like he is sticking future Americans with a massive national debt.

The hypocrisy is that if Romney was doing this, there would be a deafening howl of how this 1%er doesn't care about the peons in Ohio.

Recent e-mails sent out by Obama and his campaign begging for funds appear to have been justified with new reports showing in June the campaign spent more than it took in.

He is also showing people how to contribute to his campaign. I wonder how many gave to Obama instead of the newly weds.

And this is something to be proud of???

The president of the United States grovels for money.
