“The bottom line is that we are concerned when anyone submits scores of fraudulent nomination papers in order to get on the ballot,” said state Republican spokeswoman Valerie Caras. “The Republican Party wants fair elections without the kind of chicanery contained within these nomination papers.”
“That’s a load of crap,” said Mik Robertson, former chairman of the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania.
Getting away from the litany of ZOMG Paul Ryan threads for a minute and on to real things that matter, this is some serious shenanigans in the Keystone State. While historically Libertarian nominees do tend to draw votes away from Republican candidates, they rarely break 1-2% at the state level.
Obviously the PA GOP is only doing this because they think in conjunction with their voter suppression strategy they might stand a chance at flipping the state for Romney, so this fraction of 1% might count. Regardless of reason, it's shameful when any political party tries to shut out other voices.

Kind of like suing to take the 'None of the above' choice off the Nevada ballot, for fear that Romney would lose votes that way.

Said the head of the Libartarian party, no one really knows if anyone is trying to keep anyone off the ballot. It is simply what one person says, do we have references that shows this really is the case?

If you had actually read the article before posting you'd see that they stated in the first paragraph the state GOP is challenging Libertarian nomination petitions in court.
