Ryan Reality Check | RedState

It just sunk in. How motivated will this Ryan pick by Romney cause the left wing Libs to get out and vote for Pres. Obama? Just don't know?! Wondering if more of those who support the GOP plank will unite, instead of staying away from the voting booth...and now stampede to vote?

Or, will Ryan's pick (with his Budget Plan package) now cause many who were not going to vote for Obama... now be motivated to turn out to vote for Obama/Biden?

Which candidate's team do you sense will benefit the most from today's announcement of Paul Ryan as the GOP choice for Vice President?

I think Romney screwed himself with this pick and it has nothing to do with the left getting the vote out. The independents are the key. Independents won't vote for Ryan because he is too extreme.

No one cares what they think.

They took our country to near ruin and all they know to do is grow the government and put their hand out.

The contrast between the two parties this election is glorious IMO.

1st post and I completely AGREE !! I'm a conservative Independent. I'm gung ho to have a change at the WH, but my family has folks who can't stomach Ryan's Budget package...and frankly, I can't either. So, I won't vote. Bad choice, Mitt.

Doing something to not crash the country is extreme in a good way though.

I guess extreme is definied by the political courage to come up with an attempt to save something many rely on. It may not be a perfect plan, but it is a helluva better than keeping our heads in the sand.

Ryan's plan is now Romney's. Nothing to get over since they have to sell it now. Very bad choice that Romney made. You don't pick a running mate to appeal to the base. You have to appeal to the independents which Ryan doesn't.
