My ears rose when I read the claim that Obama cut the military. That's just baloney (too.)

Perhaps having Russian subs in the Gulf of Mexico are part of the "more flexibility" Obama told Putin he'd have?

US rejects report on Russian nuclear sub patrolling Gulf of Mexico undetected - Globaltimes.cn

Quote:
An official with the US Department of Defense on Wednesday denied media reports that a Russian nuclear-powered submarine recently operated in restricted US waters for up to a month without being detected.

"I don't know what that information was based on, but it was not correct," Wendy Snyder, a spokeswoman with the Pentagon, said to the Global Times.

The Washington Free Beacon newspaper, citing unnamed sources, had reported that a Russian nuclear attack submarine sailed undetected in the Gulf of Mexico for weeks and was not discovered until it had left the strategic waters.

The TRUTH is that neither President is responsible for an un-tracked submarine. But, we can't admit that because then we wouldn't have any excuse to display our bigotry, would we?

They are deploying these as we speak.

Armed with a nuke and parked offshore-how long would it take for a missile at mach 3 to impact a target a few hundred miles away

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- The head of Iran's navy says the country aims to put its warships in international waters off the U.S. coast "in the next few years."

In "a few years," if that ever happened, the President will have to decide what action to take. Right now, this is a hypothetical.

Maybe if we would quit blowing things up in other parts of the world to then rebuild them we would be able to better defend our shores and borders.
