Election 2012: Missouri Senate - Rasmussen Reports™

Akin needs to drop out.

And the tea party/far right wing people need to realize that candidates like Akin should not be nominated.

The far right tea party will do as they please. Akin is tame compared with Angle, O'Donnell and Buck. I don't know if Akin is going to drop out or not, but he clearly has his supporters in the GOP, just not enough to win an non-primary election.

If anything Akin is Ken Buck light.

I think the most interesting thing here is the 14% who find both of them to be too unbearable to stomach.

Akin wasn't actually the Tea Party candidate of choice. He was the Democrats candidate of choice and now we know why.

Akin should stay in. Because of his right wing extremism, he's taken a locked (R) seat and turning it into a +10 lead for the democrat

Something really fishy about this poll!! A candidate does not go up 13-14 points in a matter of one day. Did the Karl rove machine make this up in an effort to ruin Akin and force him to drop out?

Sure, but Steelman was definitely the tea party candidate in the primaries

Kind of like PPPs poll that did the opposite?
PPP: We didn't game the Akin poll - POLITICO.com

I've never seen someone rush to get a poll out like that. Very interesting...

It looks like they may have intentionally oversampled democrats. Akin says he won't pull out of the race unless he falls in the polls, so Rasmussen was more than happy to accommodate him.
