Romney + 10

North Carolinans are going to be upset that Obama and the Democrats had their pep rally full of hot air for their campaign of division and fearmongering with all their neverending lies and distortions in their state.

In all seriousness, I believe that the DNC bounce will be slight if at all, maybe canceling out the RNC bounce but not doing much else (and if you look at polls other than PPP you will see an RNC bounce). Incumbents don't usually get much of a bounce and I don't think the state a convention is in matters very much either way.

I think the next 2 months of ads and the debates are what will be more important.

Well I guess we will find out next week...it doesn't look the the Romney hot air pep rally went over well in Tampa cause he didn't lock up Florida with it.

Obama is not winning NC this year. He had to squeeze every last Democratic vote out of the state in 2008 to win it. Won't happen this time.

Obama's biggest play is holding onto Ohio because it is almost impossible for Romney to win the election without Ohio unless he pulls a major upset in PA or MI.

I know a bunch of North Carolinians would most certainly disagree. I think North Carolina will be close, and I think Obama can win it.

BTW every time this number goes up the chances of Mitt Romney winning NC goes down since the bulk of the GOP base here is evangelical.

I am in NC. A native. And politically active since the late 60s. I know NC politics very well and anyone who is betting EITHER WAY on how this state will swing this time is a fool.

It all depends on who gets off their duffs and goes to the polls, b/c this state is DEM as far as registration, but that doesn't mean all the DEMs vote straight tickets . . . and there has always been a portion of registered DEMs that don't make it to the polls.

No way I would bet on how this state is going to go. I may have a better feel for it 48 hours b/f the vote . . . until then, making a prediction on who wins NC is sheer folly and a total waste of time.

All the DNC supports gay marriage. That means Obama can marry Biden if he wants to.
