I don't know why we are on 6 pages of this when the answer is simple. When Ryan tries to portray the closing of the GM plant as Obama's fault, but it closes 6 months before Obama is President, the statement is a lie or distortion.

At least if time is linear...

It was stupid for a fiscal conservative to even address this issue, since they dont believe govt has a role in picking winners and losers in the private sector economy....that this should be a business decision.

If they do address it it should be to point out the political folly and opportunism of politicians who DO try to do this...who try to promise the impossible....like perhaps Obama was doing re his speech at the Janesville plant.
