Conservative spokesman Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard, said today that Romney needs to make this election about the NEXT four years, because, well, Obama's done a pretty good the LAST four years:

Strategic Failure | TPM Editors Blog

"The financial crisis occurred during the Bush Administration. Obama has done a pretty good job turning things around."

Kristol is encouraging Romney to make the election about the direction we are heading as a country, because, if he runs against Obama's record, he'll lose. ()

I know, right? So... The argument is: Obama has done a pretty good job, therefore, he must be stopped???

No WONDER the GOP is tanking!

The GOP is tanking?

Dems have ZERO chance of taking the house

Dems will be lucky to hold on to congress

Explain how Obama has done a good job of turning things around?

Unemployment is still above 8%, for the longest time in history

National debt at 16 trillion, form 10 trillion

350,000 people lost "hope" last month and stop looking for work.

The race is tied. Incumbents normally easily win re-election. Obama will not.

Tell that to McCain. It was Kristol that convinced him to place Palin on the ticket.

LOL! Do some reading.

William Kristol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I'd call this guy many things. Idiot is not one of them. I know it hurts when someone admits the truth, but maybe reentering reality would help the GOP win in 2016.

Well, then I might have to agree with DixieGirl! That was a very bad decision. He is a formidable conservative thinker, actually. Though no one bats a thousand.

Cannot argue with that. I think it was Lawrence O'Donnell that called Kristol one of the last remaining right wing intellectuals. That is probably why the new breed of right wingers cannot relate to him.

Kristol doesn't know what he's talking about, he's been wrong many times in the past. He doesn't have a crystal ball. If he actually thinks Obama did a good job the last 4 years, the man is crazy and needs to think about his position and give it up.

Maybe it is his honest opinion? He has plenty of conservative bonafides. Admitting an opposing party member did something right is now heresy? Seems like it is called intellectual honesty.
