Conservative spokesman Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard, said today that Romney needs to make this election about the NEXT four years, because, well, Obama's done a pretty good the LAST four years:

"The financial crisis occurred during the Bush Administration. Obama has done a pretty good job turning things around."
Kristol is encouraging Romney to make the election about the direction we are heading as a country, because, if he runs against Obama's record, he'll lose. (  )
I know, right? So... The argument is: Obama has done a pretty good job, therefore, he must be stopped???

Cannot argue with that. I think it was Lawrence O'Donnell that called Kristol one of the last remaining right wing intellectuals. That is probably why the new breed of right wingers cannot relate to him. |

Kristol doesn't know what he's talking about, he's been wrong many times in the past. He doesn't have a crystal ball. If he actually thinks Obama did a good job the last 4 years, the man is crazy and needs to think about his position and give it up.

Maybe it is his honest opinion? He has plenty of conservative bonafides. Admitting an opposing party member did something right is now heresy? Seems like it is called intellectual honesty. |
