I'm not asking you support, but who do you think will get a bounce in polls from the first debate and why?

Romney, because he's got a lot of 'splainin' to do, and he's very articulate. I expect he will be very aggressive. Obama hems and haws too much. Unless Romney puts his foot in his mouth, yet again, I expect he'll do very well.

I think Obama is getting the max support he can get. I doubt there is room for much of a bounce.

If Obama does well he will hold steady
If Romney bests him, Romney will get a bounce

I think the best Obama can do is hold on.

All Romney has to do is make Obama loose his cool. He has a temper and tries to hide it. Tick him off and he is going to show his true colors. Can't wait to see it happen. I hope Mittster goes for the throat.

Romney - all he has to do is bring up Obama's evasiveness on Libya, $4.00 a gallon gas, 8 percent unemployment... and like Mike Huckabee said, bring a little humor into it, too.
He must be able to pull that off while still remaining respectful of the office of the POTUS.

This is true. Best Obama can hope for is to maintain his present lead. Chances are he'll lose some.

Actually mittens has more of a temper than Obama does. He showed it in the early debates during the primaries.

I'll be watching for that vein to pop out.

well actually he can hope for a lot more, but we are living in an age of deeply divided politics, and I think Obama is at the top of the his bounce right now. I don't think Obama can break 52-53% even if Romney starts cursing out a variety of groups

Romney is right that some people vote for their candidate no matter what, and about 47% is going to vote for Romney no matter what. That leaves Romney room to increase and drop Obama down to 47%, but Obama doesn't really have room to drop Romney down to 47% because Romney is already there

I wouldnt bring much humor into it. These are serious issues and there are important things that should be pointed out about the sitting Presidents failures. I dont care how bad the economy was when he took over, there is no way it shouldnt be better than what it is now. We are this close to another recession.
