If anyone Romney, but it won't be much and it won't last. Romney will be going for the one liners, the zingers that his base loves to hear, while Obama will be acting cool and presidential. The boneheads will like the zingers, but the thinking public will see that Romney is not fit to serve.
I voted Obama because although he won't pick up votes he won't lose any. He's a good orator and good in debates. Romney isn't so much. If by some miracle Johnson was allowed in, he'd clean both of their clocks.
All Romney has to do is make Obama loose his cool. He has a temper and tries to hide it. Tick him off and he is going to show his true colors. Can't wait to see it happen. I hope Mittster goes for the throat.

Exactly the same can be said for Romney. The problem for Romney is his true feelings aren't going to win an election, as we have seen from his 47% speech. So if he becomes angry enough to drop his guard, he will only reinforce the calamity of the 47% speech.
Obama, on the other hand, has had 4 years of experience in self-control. And he has felt the personal and public consequences of losing his temper several times, while Mitt has not. Going through all that is definitely something that necessitates keeping cool. One this is for sure. Both don't pause or stutter much when they get hot. Their speech patterns improve equally.
But as to the topic: I'm not thinking either will gain much of a bounce. McCain hated to rehearse, so the 2008 debates were much more revealing than these will be. Romney is also as mentally disciplined as Obama, although he is slower on his feet. That's offset by Obama's tendency to get too wonky and over-detailed in his answers. Since both are working on their weak points right now, I'm not expecting too much from them, other than both will be quite slick and polished.
During the debate watch Romney's eyes and how he blinks. Listen to how Romney stammers and avoids direct questions. Now picture a little boy who just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Before the debate I strongly urge you to research how to recognize a liar.
We will see Romney with his hand in the cookie jar.
I hope Romney does throw Obama's miserable record in his face over and over again during the debate. Not only does Obama have a a temper but he's a pathologically narcissistic dilettante. It would be funny to see Obama lose his cool on national TV because someone actually had the audacity to question him and bring up the reality of what a miserable failure with no leadership skills that he is.
No "bounce" to either side. Relatively few people remain undecided at this point in the contest. What will come from the debate are soundbites one will use against the other in new campaign ads.
What's the over/under on Mittens getting so flustered, he turns to Obama and says "listen boy..."
At which point Mittens also starts to reach into his inside suit pocket, the SS thinking he has a gun, pumps 164 rounds into him...
Uh...I am for Obama...but uh...I think you went left on this..I would stay away from watching too many sci-fi or violent films if I were you. This is not a normal fantasy...i hope you know that... Can I get a psych eval stat
