Obama was trying to protect himself for not providing the proper security for the embassy after repeated requests. He was also trying to hide the fact that a major terror attack happened on his watch since he was expecting his strength against terrorism due to the killing of Osama to help his re-election bid.
What about the fact that Obama initiated drone attacks in Libya? Why aren't people looking at it as blow-back from that? How quickly Americans forget. Shouldn't Obama also be blamed for starting the fighting in Libya? Finish the Job, Bam - NYPOST.com
Or is it now OK with most Americans for presidents to start wars and continue them? It isn't OK with me.

Wow. That's a new level of disrespect altogether. Have you reached the bottom at last, or do you still have more depth in that sewer of your mind left to sink to? No true American would ever say this about any President.

Could be President inspired.
Doesn't seem to have much respect for the people.

C'mon, Juke. You would never say that any more than I would. To state that any President would poop on our flag, whether the intention is literal or figurative, dishonors the office itself deeply and seriously. I've read many offensive words here, as you have, but never this. I hope to never see it again, as I'm sure you do.

Our job is to elect the leader of the world, not the winner of a school yard playground squabble.

I did see it as figurative and not directed to the Office.
It's directly a reference to those that would support him no matter what he does, not to Obama himself even.

You can say it demeans the supporters.

It is interesting that General Ham is leaving now. There is more to his departure than is being said publicly.

May be that he will speak up or even testify.

Absolutely. The cover up is starting to unravel. Obama said that he instructed, at the time of the attack, that everything be done. Yet, NOTHING was done.

So, either his orders were not followed..which I find extremly unlikely amongst ALL of the active players.

Or the orders were never issued. Perhaps Ham attempted to disregard the 'stand down'...and was immediately relieved of his command, then and there.

There has to be a 'Deepthroat' out there, somewhere, who will be willing to step forward. CIA, military. I hope someone has the guts to come forward.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Possible scenario..

Obama issues stand down. Ham, knowing he has the resources readily available, attempts to disregard (possible after argueing his case). Is immediately relieved of his post.

Now Ham's position: Disregard orders=dishonorable discharge. After a lifetime military career. That's held over his head..unless he's silent on the actual events. Then he 'retires' with full honors, benefits. Tough position, and if that's how it went down, I could understand his predicament.

Just one possible scenario.

What possible justification could be given for the stand down orders? Did they want Ambassador Stevens killed?
