Weak, weak claim.

The actual text...

"We have the opportunity to send President Obama back to Chicago - or Kenya."

It's stuff like this that waters down true instances of racism.

It's GOP code for 'the black man currently in office. White supremists-go out and vote this black man out of office'. There was another GOP operative who referred to an opponent's employee as a 'macaca'.

Urban Dictionary: macaca

Weak, weak denial.

Weak is using the urban dictionary....

Weak is assuming there is a "code" to base your claim on...

Of course the racist twitter comments toward Stacy Dash were wrong--this board is a shining example that there are idiots on both sides. The difference you don't seem to get is that those comments were made by everyday, anonymous people--just like people here make awful, racist, anonymous comments toward the president every day--and not by surrogates for a campaign. It's one thing for private citizen a$$hats on either side to say something completely inappropriate, and another for the son of a candidate, speaking on his dad's behalf, to include this garbage in his prepared remarks.

Some of you don't seem to get that this country is fed up with the birthers--it's pretty much synonymous with "nutcase" to everyone but the very very far right end of the country--and saying something like that was the fastest way that Thompson's son could turn off a majority of voters. No wonder Thompson is apologizing for his son as fast as he can.

Is racism a viable political tactic in 2012? - Video on NBCNews.com

A political party which advocates that the uninsured die, that it's ok for Americans to live in grinding poverty, that oligarchy is preferable to a healthy stable middle class, certainly does not balk at using racist code words. I think the polls show that the majority of Americans don't buy into this tactic though.

No because he WAS born in Michigan. He would gladly prove it.

Obama and his administration are now making a case for the Birthers. They are flat out lying about Libya and if they choose to do so here why not some other issue like his actual birth place?

We really know so little about the real Obama. Sealed so we can't know.

How does the insertion of the word "Chicago" negate or make the statement any less racist?

The question is, how is the statement even racist?

I'm not seeing the racism either...

Only a racist themselves, would make that claim.

The government has created this illusion, that it is the color of your skin, at the root of all your problems.
