Why does this clip start in the middle of what Gillespie is saying. Where is the background for what studies they are referring to a why those were used. That would be helpful in seeing if there are lies. You can argue all day about the validity of the studies that are used by an politician, but that doesn't constitute a lie.
You must have been living under a rock if you don't know the 6 studies claim by Romney. Romney said he can cut taxes by 20% for all income levels and eliminate the capital gains tax and estate tax without increasing the deficit or debt. The cost is roughly $5 trillion over 10 years, but Romney or Ryan have given no specifics.
These 6 studies were done by the 6 most right wing groups. This exactly like R Money creating 6 groups to do the stay and give him the exact answers he is looking for. Ed Gillespie is exactly right here. AEI is a credible outfit. To show that their study was wrong requires countering it with facts and logic, not simply dismissing them as 'partisan.' Most people these days are partisan, so by that standard, we might as well stop doing any studies period
