Cant' we even have a little honesty on a topic like humor? Both guys deserved an A- on their deliveries and ability to take a joke poked at them. Neither one is a professional comic but they both looked pretty natural and at ease up there. If there is any criticism at all to make it's that the joke writers didn't 100% follow the historical format of the event of only writing self-defecating jokes for their candidate. Obama's writers would get a B+ on that aspect and Mitt's would get C+. I think the score was 3 to 11 pokes taken at the other guy instead of themselves.

This just goes to show you that Romney has come across as unlikeable and is trying to 'humanize' himself. Mitt seems like a stuffy politican with zero sense of humor, he's 'disconnected' from the average everday middle class citizen and he wants to show you that he's 'hip' and a 'good guy'.

Mitt Romney was absolutely hilarious. Even his timing was perfect. Both he and Obama got their little digs in and both joked about themselves. It's just easier to joke about yourself when you are a joke, like Obama.

Oh, brother, a thread about who "won" this dinner? Really? Of course, started by someone who seems to lean GOP.

Lighten up beenhead. The video's are funny, take a minute and laugh if only for a moment.

Life is really too short to be so angry.

Romney killed it.

As usual, the humorless Democrats on this board don't get it.

I see you're a student and probably young. As maybe you've heard the famous quote: "If you aren't a liberal when you're young, then you don't have a heart. If you're not a conservative when you grow up, then you don't have a brain." It's appropriate for me as I was a Socialist with Communist leanings when young but those poliices lead to disaster...which is why despite some reservations with Romney, we have to get Obama out of office so you and my kids can have economic opportunity. My fortune is made and Obama will have a seriously tough time getting from me but others deserve the opportunity to make theirs which Socialism won't give them.

I am actually more liberal then I was when I was younger. I have always been a capitalist, but with that said the more I study and learn about the tax code the more Democratic I become. I think that is largely the result of having mostly investment income when I was younger and now having increasingly more earned income. To put this in perspective I used to like the Bush tax cuts because it meant I got increasingly larger dividends and paid very little tax, if any, on them. Now I see the cost of that and it is very much troubling.

There is truth to your comment and why I think Romney way is correct. He is right to take away deductions that only the rich are able to take advantage of then he will drop the marginal rates lower so the middle class pays less in taxes and gets to keep more of the money they earn.

Obama's plan is only to increase taxes on the rich. Obama is "not" going to lower taxes for the middle class.

Obama does not talk about lowering taxes for anyone but is threatening to veto the Bush tax cuts if he doesn't get his way. If Obama does veto the bill he will be increasing taxes on everyone. Even those people who don't pay taxes can be moved into taxable income levels. He of course will blame it on the republicans but republicans know that if Obama gets his way instead of paying employees higher wages or hiring they instead will have to pay the government, essentially hurting the middle class.

I'm going with the plan that allows the middle class to keep more of the money they earn -> Romney's Plan
