GREENSBORO, N.C. –The presidential election is just around the corner and voting issues have already become a problem in Guilford County. On Monday, several voters complained that their electronic ballot machine cast the wrong vote. All the complaints were made by people who voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location.
One of the voters, Sher Coromalis, says she cast her ballot for Governor Mitt Romney, but every time she entered her vote the machine defaulted to President Obama. I was so upset that this could happen,” said Coromalis.
Guilford County Board of Elections Director George Gilbert says the problem arises every election. It can be resolved after the machine is re-calibrated by poll workers. “It’s not a conspiracy it’s just a machine that needs to be corrected,” Gilbert said.
After the third try, Coromalis says she was able to get her vote counted for Gov. Romney but was still annoyed. “I should have just mailed it in,” Coromalis said. [Ms. Coromalis, if you had mailed it in, would such an error have been spotted and corrected at all? -LA]
Marie Haydock, who also voted at the Bur-Mil Park polling location, had the same problem. “The frustration is… every vote counts,” said Haydock.
Elections officials say the machines have been fixed as of Tuesday, and no problems have been reported since. [At least, no more problems have been noticed. -LA]
And yet another update....and this is getting really interesting.
TMZ says that according to their sources, Romney lied through his teeth under oath to cheat the ex wife of his friend, Tom Stemberg, out of profiting from Bain. He testified that the company was "over valued" and actually worth next to nothing, so Maureen Stemberg got very little in the divorce settlement Tom Stemberg and Romney turned around just weeks later, went to Goldman Sachs, and cashed in their stock for a fortune. Stemberg is closely tied to the Romney campaign, spoke at the RNC convention, has hosted numerous fundraisers for Romney, and served as his chief health care adviser when he was the governor of Illinois. The article goes on to say that Maureen Stemberg suffers from both MS and cancer--at some point Tom Stemberg cancelled her health insurance without notice. He made abuse allegations against his wife to get sole custody of their son, yet after the divorce sent his son a letter saying, that although he loves him, because of the divorce "it will not be possible for you to be a part of our family for the foreseeable future."
Holy heck--if this is true you have Romney lying under oath to help cheat a MS and cancer survivor out of a divorce settlement. The husband--his close advisor--cancelled his sick wife's insurance, called her an abuser to get custody of their child, and then disavowed the same kid. If this is true, Romney is in a heck of a lot of trouble.
Don't worry he won't be president. So far got both my Mother and Sister in Law to vote for Gary Johnson..Me and my wife will vote for him on election day.
and you and your family are going to make a lot of difference? Would you have been voting for Romney if it weren't for Johsnon? From your posts over the past 6 months, I doubt it...

All depends if there is enough backing of sources to make the media run with it, but it "could" have an effect on women voters. Still, may not have any effect either depending how it plays out.
Mitt Romney is a Washington outsider - he is not part of the system.
I've got a bridge to sell you. Romney and his bosses own the system. Unfortunately they have the low brows to contend with, you know that voting thingy in the hands of the help.
"He said vs. she said" and someone else's divorce issues from years and years ago is not "juicy" let alone relevant. Yet as the Obama boosters start getting desperate, not surprising some would stoop to such foolish distractions.
Key words there... "IF this is true". They have no proof backing this up, therefore why is it even being reported on?
